Looking Back/Celebrations

ESF 50th Anniversary Primary Sports Day:
On Saturday, February 18th, KGV School hosted the the ESF 50th Anniversary Primary Sports Day. RC students joined a large group of children representing all primary schools across the Foundation. Our students energetically participated in cross country events, football, and netball.

Thank you very much to Ms. Gordon, Ms. Kennard, and Mr. Shek for supporting our students.

DBIS Touch Rugby Tournament by Mr. Holland and Mr. Hogg:
Friday 17th February saw RCHK field a boys and girls team in the DBIS touch tournament.

In the first game, RCHK boys went down to 0-3 to the eventual tournament champions Australian International School. In their second game, the boys lost 0-2 to Kennedy A.  In their final pool match, the boys won against Japan International School 3-1.  This win saw the boys move through to the plate semi finals against Nord Anglia with Rach and Aidan scoring good tries to see them advance to the plate semi final.  A tough fought win against Discovery College 1-0 saw the boys come up against Harrow in the final where RCHK won 1-0 to take out the plate final.

For the girls team, this was the first tournament for most of them, in fact the first time that many of the girls have played touch rugby.  In their first game, the girls came up against Discovery College.  An early try from Livia was undone by a two quick tries by Discovery College in the final few minutes to see the girls go down 2-1.  In their second match, the girls played well and improved on their passing, but eventually losing to Bradbury 1-0.  In their final match the girls played well but went down 0-2 to a good Kennedy team.

Well done to both teams.  The next tournament is a mixed tournament at Chinese International School on Friday 3rd March.
